VOORHEES, N.J. -- In January, a South Jersey Goodwill store put out an urgent call for help and AAA South Jersey answered the call. AAA South Jersey associates and members donated approximately 1,000 items of clothing, housewares, electronics, and more to support the Goodwill Store & Donation Center in Egg Harbor Township.

This winter, the Goodwill location was the victim of a suspicious fire. According to Goodwill, smoke and water damage destroyed all the store’s inventory.

AAA South Jersey associates began a collection in February. This culminated in a Stuff the Truck event hosted at our Voorhees office on Friday, March 8.

Associates and AAA South Jersey members placed their donations in the van in hopes of reaching our goal of a full van. The response was overwhelming.

AAA South Jersey collected everything from clothing, shoes, toys, records, books, and more. The donations were delivered to Goodwill's Voorhees location and will then be distributed to Egg Harbor Township.

Goodwill in Egg Harbor Township, located at 6701 Black Horse Pike in Atlantic County, is currently open for donations only – weekdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
