AAA helps with Zambonis at Flyers Skate Zone

When the Flyers Skate Zone needed some help with their two new Zambonis, they did what millions of Americans do every day -- they called AAA.

Recently, the Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees took delivery of two new Zamboni ice resurfacing machines. However, there was a small problem – how to get the Zambonis off the delivery truck and into the rink? That’s where AAA came to the rescue.

The Zambonis were delivered on an 18-wheeler. Once at the Skate Zone, each Zamboni was backed onto a AAA flatbed truck, which was then moved away from the 18 wheeler. The Zambonis, each weighing nearly 5 tons, were then carefully lowered to the ground, ready for use at the Skate Zone.

The total time involved was about 30 minutes, and then the AAA truck was back on the road to rescue more “traditional” vehicles.
