After landing at Dublin Airport, complete customs and immigration formalities. Your CIE Tours driver/guide will welcome you to Ireland and escort you and your luggage to the coach. Next, stop to have breakfast with your group at a local restaurant or pub. Then, travel to visit EPIC Ireland, which celebrates the dramatic story of the spread of Irish culture around the globe, and how Ireland has changed throughout the years. Motor a short distance to your hotel, check in and enjoy the balance of the afternoon at leisure. This morning, tour Guinness Storehouse to see exhibits on how this world-famous stout was first created and why it is so popular today. Finish your visit in the roof-top bar, where you can sample a draft of Guinness. Next, visit the nearby Glasnevin Museum, Ireland’s national necropolis, for a guided tour of the final resting place of some of the most prominent people in Ireland’s history. Head back to your hotel and spend the balance of the day free to sightsee, shop and dine on your own.

Mon, Oct-14 ST. PATRICK'S CENTRE

Leaving Dublin, drive into Downpatrick and stop to visit the Saint Patrick Centre, which tells about his life, work and the founding of many monasteries which had a profound influence on Ireland’s development in the early Christian era. Then, continue your journey into Belfast and stop to visit Crumlin Road Gaol to explore over 150 years of Northern Ireland's dark history from, political prisoners to everyday citizens imprisoned during "the Troubles," many of which still live in Belfast to this day. Transfer to your nearby hotel, check in and enjoy some free time before dining in the hotel restaurant with your fellow travelers.

Tue, Oct-15 BELFAST SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of Belfast to see the Albert Memorial, the Opera House and Crown Liquor Saloon. You might also view Linen Hall Library, Belfast waterfront and the imposing City Hall, which was completed in 1906. Stop to visit Titanic Belfast to learn about the evolution of the Titanic from concept until her ill-fated end in 1912. Head back to your nearby hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure for individual pursuits and dining.

Wed, Oct-16 GIANT'S CAUSEWAY

Today, travel north to visit the Giant’s Causeway, an impressive area of hexagonal columns formed over 60 million years ago by cooling lava, which has given rise to many legends. Next, drive into Derry and join a local guide for a walking tour to see Guildhall, St. Columb’s Cathedral, the Diamond and the 16th century walls. Continue your journey into Donegal and check into the stunning Lough Eske Castle. You may like to rest or explore some of the castle grounds before joining your group for a lovely dinner in Lough Eske Castle’s restaurant.

This morning, travel to visit Slieve League Sea Cliffs, where the highest point reaches 1,972 feet making them the highest in Europe. The cliffs drop straight down to the wild Atlantic waves below and you will see marvelous vistas. While here, enjoy an Irish coffee with your fellow travelers. Then, continue your journey into Ardara to see demonstrations of spinning, weaving, and knitting at Triona Designs. Return to your castle hotel for an evening at leisure.

Departing Donegal, journey into Belleek and stop to visit the Belleek Pottery Factory to see how skilled craftspeople form and decorate clay to produce delicate porcelain masterpieces. Next, drive into Enniskillen to tour Florence Court, which is known as the home of the Irish Yew. The original tree, discovered in 1760, can still be viewed in the grounds. The magnificent 18th century mansion, which is renowned for its elaborate rococo plasterwork. After, travel into Enfield and check into the beautiful Johnstown Estate. Spend the balance of the afternoon free to relax or enjoy the amenities the Estate offers. In the evening, join your fellow travelers for a wonder farewell dinner in Johnstown Estate’s fine restaurant along with two glasses of wine, beer or soft drink per person.
