AAA South Jersey knows the foundation of its business is built on trust. To maintain that trust, AAA South Jersey is committed to maintaining the privacy of its members’ Nonpublic Personal Information (“NPI”). AAA South Jersey would like to take this opportunity to inform you of how we are committed to protecting your information.
Recent federal legislation requires that all Financial Institutions provide customers with a statement outlining the policies and practices related to the sharing of NPI. At AAA South Jersey, we are providing this privacy notice to demonstrate our commitment to you. If you decide to end your relationship with AAA South Jersey or your membership lapses, we will continue to abide by the practices described in this notice and any amendments to this notice.
AAA South Jersey collects information about you in order to maintain your membership account. Information is also used to gain a better understanding of your needs as a member, to improve and develop better services, products, offerings, and to inform you of special promotions. These are delivered to our customers by us and our trusted partners.
We may also use information collected to assess the needs of AAA.com users and to improve the website’s content. We also collect information necessary to administer your account and to process services associated with your membership. This information is maintained to provide the highest possible quality of service.
When you join AAA South Jersey or do business with AAA South Jersey, we ask for and maintain you and your associate member’s name, address, home or work telephone number, birth date, email address and previous years membership with another AAA Club (if applicable). We also gather Member Information from the information we receive from you on applications or other forms, transactions with us or others, consumer reporting agencies, other companies we work with, companies providing marketing and demographic information, and information obtained to protect against insurance fraud and identity theft.
The following non-volunteered information may also be compiled automatically when visiting AAA.com: The referrer (the site prior to entering AAA.com), the IP address of the workstation, date and time logged of visit, pages visited while on our site, time spent on each page, and files downloaded. We will also gather information that is voluntarily submitted via search criteria, entered on forms or surveys, and transactional data from purchases. If the user supplies their telephone number or email online, they may be contacted by AAA regarding orders or questions placed online.
Your Member Information is only available to authorized individuals responsible for providing AAA South Jersey products and services. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with legal requirements to protect Member Information.
We capture your IP address and place cookies on all Web site visitor hard drives to collect information on your visits to our site and the pages viewed. We aggregate this information with that of other visitors to analyze Web site activity to help us improve your online experience. These data are not personally identifiable to you and are used primarily to identify return visitors to the site and understand from what Web site you came to our site and the site you next visit upon leaving the AAA South Jersey site, including when you link to our partner sites to explore the products and services they provide. In addition, when you initially visit AAA.com, a persistent cookie is used to capture your zip code to make it easier to ensure you visit the appropriate AAA club Web site.
The use of persistent cookies enables us to capture and link to other information you have provided us online once you choose to identify yourself. This capability allows us to view your activity on our site for a specified period of time to match your interests and needs to the best product and service information available and send it to you. AAA South Jersey also uses clear gif tracking images on some of its pages and in our HTML emails to determine open rates.

AAA South Jersey has partnered with reputable companies such as The Walt Disney Company, Hertz Corporation, Trafalgar Tours, Holland America Line and Bank of America, as well as other travel or financial related companies, to provide additional services to you. Protection of your privacy at those other sites will be governed by the privacy policy at that site. By opting out you will be precluded from receiving notice of special promotions offered through AAA South Jersey that may benefit you. We may still include notices and information about other products and services when communicating with you about your account and related products and services. You may still receive the “SJ FIRST” magazine three times per year. Opting-out will not prevent you from receiving solicitations from other companies obtaining information about you from other sources.
At any time within the first 30 days of your new membership effective date, including any new added associate members, you decide AAA isn’t right for you, simply cancel. We’ll refund the unused portion of your paid membership dues less any excessive usage cost if applicable.
Should only the Associate add-on(s) be canceled within first 30 days, applicable refunds will be transferred to the new primary membership and applied to your next renewal.
Overpayments will be applied to your next membership renewal or on a request basis will be 100% refunded. No other refunds will be granted. Updated as of 12/1/2014
All policies are subject to change without notice.
Membership dues payments for renewals, upgrades and added associate members will not be refunded and your membership will remain in force until it expires.
Renewing memberships paid via Automatic Renewal (A/R) will be refunded 100% if request is made within 45 days of renewal date; no refunds will be granted beyond 45 days of renewal, however your membership will remain in force until it expires.
Overpayments will be applied to your next membership renewal or on a request basis will be 100% refunded.
Associate Add-ons will be cancelled upon request; any applicable refunds can be transferred to a new membership for the cancelled associate or applied to existing primary membership at next renewal. No other refunds will be granted. Updated as of 12/1/2014

Duplicate payments will be applied to your next membership renewal or on a request basis will be 100% refunded.
AAA reserves the right to cancel the membership for a Member’s abusive use of Roadside Assistance Services of the Club. In addition, a Member who requests or uses an excessive amount of Service; that is, uses Services over a sustained period that are greater than the average Member uses, may be subject to membership downgrades at renewal or the non-renewal of the membership.
Membership dues refunds are issued retroactively for deceased members.
